I will be starting a house warming kitchen set for a friend of my daughter’s and her husband. They are moving into their first home together and I would love to add that wall hanging to the gift package! She is very special and like a daughter to me. Thanks for the inspiration.
I like the complementary and the monochromatic. I have one daughter who likes black so I look for material that is black and white. Combining black and white fabrics look really good together. My other daughter likes Yellow so I find different yellows that look good together. My granddaughter and I like purple and red. I made my granddaughter a sun bonnet sue quilt with 35+ colors of purple. Try something new, with color combinations and be surprised when the finished project comes togethe

Still on number one but have learned a lot and want to post all my silly mistakes. I hope this finds you well, sorry for the intrusion. I have been in Canada for 25 yrs and i am 61 yrs old, looking forward to the fall as my husband works on the Maid of the Mist and will be working shorter hours. Also I will be able to enjoy the weather as the hot waether is bad for me because i have MS , lots of help.People are wonderful.I can still walk but have shower help .

In my hoop for several weeks have been lace Bible bookmarks for the prayer teams that prayed for me for over three years while I recovered from MRSA. I am not dancing yet, but who knows. With their Prayers and hopes for me, I can figure out my machine again and hopefully when they see the bookmarks they will know how much I appreciate them.
Also, between bookmarks, I am embroidering a flannel “cozy blanket/quilt for a cousin headed for college in the fall with remembrances of her growing up years and tips for the future. Maybe one day she will read the tips for the future, but for now, it can be dragged to football games, spread over grass to study at breaks, and what I imagine college kids doingl There is always something in my hoop. Next will be a kindle cover for ME! Love your magazine, regular and digital, and the blog!
I have been intrigued with quilts. Love looking at other people’s work but am afraid to try making one. They really are intriguing. I buy my cottons for projects from the quilt shop and maybe I will try one soon.

I am a lot off topic but I am the owner of a Brother Innovis 900D, which used the a max 4×4 embroidery snap on hoop. I have a lot of trouble hooping jeans an other heavy fabric as a result I spent hours on your site looking for a snap hoop that was compatible with my machine but as you already know you do not carry such a hoop. I just wanted to ask if there are any plans to create a 4×4 hoop compatible with may machine and the other household embroidery machines like mine, since they are the more inexpensive machines they are more commonly bought by beginners like myself.

I have a sewing table made custom made for my height 5-11 and I have to sit to sew,but I have a tall cutting table very close so I will start my emb then get up to to something at the cutting table.i find I like the exercise and I’ m still close to the machine if a problem happens.I only have one machine so I do a lot of regular sewing also. I have several inexpensive kitchen cabinets and a kitchen pantry cabinet that I use to store my fabric in. I can shut the doors and have a semi neat look to my sewing room. Who has a very neat room when you are in the process of sewing? I got my cabinets at the home improvement store and use the pan drawers as the base for my cutting table. They are great for storing threads and stabilizers. Happy planing your new sewing place. Joyce
I like all three designs. Design A reminds me of hearts and feathers (modern). Design B makes me think of cross stitching (country). Design C has colors and pattern that call out the past (vintage).
There are 108 hand sewn stitches on a Major League Baseball. Thans so much for the stitching design–my son-in-law played professionsal ball and is now a scout for the Yankees so this will be a perfect design for him—on what I don’t know but I will figure it out.
